I would have some one look at it or crack her open and take a look. Hard to say what someone else has put it through. Some cases at that mileage could be fine with maintenance upkeep and some could be shot by 80k, hard to say. I do believe Ford recommends a service at 150k though.
Where you live, chances are people used it in 4 wheel drive, if you get one from a lower state, they may have never even switched it into 4 wheel drive. You just never know what you are getting.Ok. Maybe ill try to find one locally to save on shipping just in case i have to rebuild it lol.
Well depending on how my adventure turns out, I may have one to sell. It allegedly only has 80k but I haven't cracked it open yet to look. That is true. Ill have to do some searching, thankfully im not in a hurry lol
Gen 1's had the torsion as an option later on as well, think 2012 onward. If the all wheel drive works in the gen 1, there will be even less reasons to upgrade from a gen 1 as well, ha ha.I gotta imagine they beefed up the transfer case for Gen 2 because there has to be a reason it didn't make it into the Gen 1 Raptor. Gen 2 had a Torsen front diff as well correct? Maybe it's because I haven't done any high speed off-roading with lots of turns, but I still only see the 4A case being useful for things like snowy conditions. That was the only time I used it over 4HI in my 13 Limited. Also, traction control ruins 4A in the snow.
