Geisers, Icons, and 37s

The Icons constantly clunk and pop. It's gotten progressively worse. I was CC'ed on some email communications from my shop and their support team and they were just causing more trouble than it's worth. I likely just got a bad set of leafs but that's a poor customer service model that I don't want to deal with. Hoping since I'm in central TX that I won't get rust as bad on the Deavers as some of the members who have snowy winters.

The Geisers are a little stiff for my liking but hadn't planned to swap them out yet. My outfitter said Eibach released a new spring for the 2019 live shocks that isn't quite as much lift as the Geisers or even the regular Eibachs, so I'm trying to find out some more info on those.

I know multiple members of the forum are happy with Geisers and both Icons/Deavers, so hopefully you have a better outcome with that setup. @TXRaptor has a great build thread where he runs Geisers on 37s (along with a host of other awesome mods) that I used as a template for my build.

Stupid question but what does the drop shackles do? I have RPG adjustable collars, icon variable Leafs, 20in Wheels with 37 inch Ridge Grapplers, I haven't installed anything yet I'm just gathering information

I have a set of rpg drop shackles that I’ll install this weekend. They are longer and will lower the rear 1” also put the spring in a a better articulation and increase droop travel. With my +3 deavers and Geisers the drop shackles should level me out.

Guys, I have read a lot of great posts on running 37s on Gen 2 but am curious as to how going to 37s affects on road / daily ride. Many seem to be happy with 37s but I have not seen anyone compare ride with OEM to ride with 37s.


Thinking of 37" KO2 and would install either Geiser springs, deaver leaf springs but otherwise leave suspension stock - unless I need something else. Planning on having advanced fiberglass front fenders.

Any input or advice would be appreciated.

I currently have a 2013 Gen 1 with quite a few mods but stock suspension, wheels and tires. But am planning on getting a Gen 2 (with V8 if that becomes and option, I know not likely) end of this year but will keep my Gen 1 - love it too much to sell it.

@FLZ34 for me they are a little stiffer. I run Nitto RidgeGrappler 37x12.5x20 so there is still plenty of sidewall, but the tire is going to ride different than a stock C rated BFG. The Nitto's by design are a little more grippy I guess you could say, so e.g. I notice sometimes on uneven highway that I get a little lateral play that I feel in the steering wheel. Overall I like them though but I don't offroad except when hitting more rundown Dunkin Donut's drive throughs. So I run the 37s pretty much purely for aesthetics and to provide some ammunition for the guys on the forum that hate on people who don't offroad ha!

On another note to anyone interested, I'm switching out my Geisers for the Eibachs I mentioned a couple posts back. They have <2k miles on them and I can sell them if anyone is looking, otherwise it's off to ebay for them.

Why would you switch to eibachs if you already have Geisers?

Geisers nose to nose with eibachs. Avalanche grey on Eibach is my buds 17scab white is my 18screw on Geisers before I put on deavers.

So... interesting. The pic shows Eibach are slightly taller?? Whereas i think I’ve read in several areas that the Geisers are typically higher? But either way... those look close... why else are you changing?

Qualifying my question... i have Geisers and Icon rear springs delivering in about an hour!
