What are you guys talking about???? You don't have to be in "manual" to see the gears you're in! Just tap the paddle shifter while in automatic and the display shows what gear your in and changes with the automatic shifting so simple!
@Macdaddy Let me guess… you have a gen 2?

I think the reason it disappears is because in the normal f150 place on the dash where it would show all the gears, the raptor shows the steering mode, exhaust mode, and suspension mode indicators in that area. So maybe thats why the raptor doesnt allow the gear to show at all times? Just my observation

Am i an idiot or can you only see what gear your in via manual mode? I looked at non raptor F150 and their gear indicator is where we have the "modes" at the bottom left. Call me weird but i like to know what gear im in from time to time without switching to manual mode. Did i miss something?

I liked that feature on my 2013, can't find it on my 2021???

For whatever it’s worth, I think the manual(s) suck.

I have even wondered if I am missing the “main” manual, can’t ever find what I’m looking for.

The new trucks don’t come with a printed user manual. The user manual is software based now, you access it through the touchscreen.
