Gauge question I

I bought a used 2010 w/ 6.2 from 2nd owner. He thought it had a performance chip installed but no paperwork. So when it starts up all the gauges momentarily max out, then reset. Anyone know what this all about?

Normal operation on earlier models. It’s the gauge cluster prove out.

Yes normal startup condition! Just think of it as all those horses you have just raring to go loading in at the start gate before they settle down waiting for the gate to open.

Funny, I have a 2012 and it doesn’t do that. I have seen that with a Bully Dog chip.
