Yup. The little turds are out in the fall. Well, the males are. It's mating season and the males go looking for love. They search during the night but a few are still out when it gets light. Lots of them end up as food for other critters but a few get lucky. They look fearsome, but they're calm and hard to provoke. Not dangerous to humans, but hell on wheels when it comes to grasshoppers and crickets. Is that a f'n tarantula?? Nice pics, thanks for sharing.

The beauty of going out far enough is that you don't have to bury bodies. The coyotes, ravens, and vultures take care of the evidence.Good job. I can't even see any traces of where you buried the body.
