brand is more important... no mom and pop stations / discount ( quik trip / Kroger/Walmart fuel)... too much possibility for low quality fuel. I have seen some bad fuel in my day and believe that not all fuel is equal.

Im my Subaru WRX STi I would see big HP differences from brand to brand. Quicktrip had the worst gas HP results... I lost 15 hp on one batch of bad gas... changed back to Shell and the 15 hp came back. (all dyno confirmed)

run 91 just cuz I have always run premium (I buy off on all the extra additives and octane helping the injectors and engine, cant hurt to have the best)

15rwhp loss on pump gas? lol I strongly disagree. QT is my favorite 93 octane brand. If I cant get to a QT i'll do Shell V power.

Regardless, I run 93 in my truck.

I've seen tests done on local pump fuels when I worked in the oil field and QT always ranked in the top three. Shell is continuously rated the best and Chevron isn't far behind.

Very interesting, I do try to only use chevron or shell.

And being in California, we don't get the option for ethenol free gas. Stupid liberal tree huggers.

Not all gas stations buy their fuel from the same suppliers... some batches will be good some will be bad based on who refined it. I have seen the dyno and personal experience with bad fuel batches... QT is not always bad, but the stations in GA would not get consistent fuel batches (hence the HP loss)

call me a liar, but the dyno does not lie. :Grenade:

I run 10% 87 octane in all the vehicles, in my sled I run the most expensive. 10% ethanol 91 octane.

There aint much ethanol free gas that I've found yet. And I've never seen anything above 91 octane around me.

A dyno isn't a good tool to measure stuff like this, you need a fuel grade test. Too many factors differentiate on a dyno, the ambient air temp., humidity, dyno model, dyno calibration, tune on your particular vehicle, and so and so forth.

Fuel can go bad, there can be bad batches, and some refineries are better than others, I can't speak for Georgia but here in Texas QT gas is top grade stuff.
