Garage door opener

Yeah!!!! I just did it myself. Mine was a round button, I pressed it and a red light started to flash, ran to my truck and pressed the button twice like you said to and when I pressed it a third time the garage door button on the raptor worked. Thank you so much, you're a god send. I've had to use my old remote with my truck since April. Now I can put it back in my car.

I had to do it this way also. The only downside is it reset the garage door opener so now my wife's car needs to be reprogrammed.

If your garage door opener is a rolling code unit (for security it changes the code itself) then you'll need to press the button on the garage door opener (motor unit) and the Homelink button on your sun visor. And this means you'll need to reprogram all of your garage door remotes at the same time.G

Program the truck with your handheld remote first. Truck will flash the homelink light rapidly when it learns the remote code. If it does not open your door once you've done this, press the learn button on the rear of the garage door motor, then press the programmed homelink button inside your truck. You typically have 30 seconds from the time you press the Learn Button on the motor to press the button inside the truck. All should work fine.

This. I could not get mine with rolling codes to work till I did the following.

Held the 2 outside buttons on homelink to reset the unit.

Programmed it with the handheld remote by holding it within a few inches of the homelink ink while holding the button to be programmed.

I then had to press the lean button on my garage door opener and press the same homelink button a few times

It then worked. The directions don’t make it clear it is a 2 step process.

Yes there are three buttons on the sun visor.

One quick note, be careful when you are programming your garage door opener. When I did this with my previous truck, I ended up learning the opener used by my neighbor. For about 2 weeks, I was convinced my opener was possessed. I would be sitting in my living room, and hear my garage door open. I lived by myself and no one else had an opener. I would come home and the door was open. Finally I realized the door had learned someone else's opener code from when I was hitting the learn button and someone came by and hit their opener.

This situation was reversed when I moved to Texas, and my neighbor learned my opener. So when I left, I had to be careful, when I closed my garage door as it would open his in some cases.

Pretty hilarious situation now that it was fixed.

That is so funny and scary at the same time. I will take your advice because you can never be careful enough. There are to many crazy people in the world.
