Future owner of a raptor. checking-in. I got a 16 FX4 which I love and have no issue with. Now looking to trade it in for 17-18 raptor. I test drove 4 different raptor awesome trucks.
So I'm pretty set on one I found pretty close to me. Wanted to do some research on the forums about the truck and found there is an ongoing issue with the cam phaser.
My question is this a major issue to most truck or some.
So the truck I found was 2017 34k miles and the only issue I noticed.
(1) when I drive from stop to around 20-30 mph a little vibration on the steering wheel. Anything above 30mph and highway it's fine. I think it's more of a wheel alignment issue.
(2) normal street driving when I stepped on the gas hard and let off right away I hear a small chatter or rattle sound. Very very minor and does not happen every time. Wastegate rattle?
Any input would be greatly appreciated it.
