Looks like pure gearhead ****- completely eliminates my desire for mclaren, lambo, vette, M5 etc etc etc - it’s built to be indestructible

I would not believe it if I didn’t see it with my own eyes several times, a 6800 pound Trophy Truck lifting the front wheel off the ground in a drag race, running 40” tires

While the HP/TQ & short gearing probably have a hand in that......my guess is it has a lot more to do w/ the super springy soft suspension & the weight transfer on launch

Diesel drag trucks lotta times have front straps/chains to keep the rebound effect in check on the front suspension. I used to do this on sportbike back in the day when running @ dragstrip - lot easier than trying for a perfect launch & wheelie-ing the first 150 meters lol! Launch a sportbike too hard or dont modulate the clutch right w/o front straps the thing will just flip up in the air & on top of ya

That RS3 was crazy and was sleeping off the line the first 3 races (possibly somewhat intentional, said something about the radials not soaking up as much of the energy as the bias plys).

I don’t think there’s much out there modded or factory fresh that could compete w/ that hoonicorn & do so multiple times without breaking into pieces. That’s what’s so intriguing bout that crazy beast- it’s been thrashed so many times they continue to see it’s limits/“weak” points & then beef it up & keep moving forward.

I’d like to see a Bugatti be driven like that hoonicorn & see how it holds up! Or an AMS built lambo- go for it- my guess is they’d make for a few cute races but if you pitted em against each other on a road course hot lapping em the hoonicorn would be ready for more & the tuner car would be trashed
