Full Titanium Catback Exhaust System!

Hello everyone! It’s been a while since I have posted on the forum.

Since I purchased my Raptor I have done a ton of work to and traveled around the country as well.

The one thing I have noticed is that lack of a full titanium exhaust system for the platform.

Now you might ask yourself, “why would I want a titanium exhaust for my 1/4 ton truck”.

Simply put, ti exhaust are the best of the best. They are usually handmade. The quality, fit and finish are like a work of art. Sure, the weight savings will be nice but I’m more so in this for the products quality. I want the underside of my truck to look just as good as the top along with a wicked sound.

With all this said, I have contacted a company very well known in the industry for both their exhaust systems and turbo kits designed for multiple performance platforms.

I’m asking the Raptor community if it would support this idea and spark some interest.

Exaclty.
Power gains would be no better than current stainless systems on the market.
For the price of titanium, I'd want gains to warrant that.
Nobody is looking under my truck to see my $3k titanium exhaust.
I get this on a supercar or hypercar. But a Raptor is still a pick up truck, yes it's the top of the heap, but I think ti exhaust is another level.

I'd rather full carbon body panels if we want to talk exotic parts.
Carbon fiber is roughly 1.5x lighter than aluminum. That's a huge weight loss.

To me it's a giant waste of money as you'll never see it or have it sound that different on a TT6, but if you are spending $120K on a $70K truck, what's another $5K on an exhaust?

The same reason people buy ti on their bikes and sport cars that aren't super cars.

I removed an awe stainless 1 month later that started to almost rust, less weight is still more, doesn't have to be outright power in increase, it won't rust and decay either.

My bike akrapovic ti exhaust was $3000

Correct. The same as someone purchasing the 40k Panigale RR and doesn’t get the 5k akra. (Most take delivery with this installed)

When you are building out a vehicle to be unique and utilize the best materials and quality products in the industry you will pay some of those “taxes” that set it apart from everything else.

As to the comment about spending 120k on a 70k truck. Not sure if that was directed to the Shelby but if your paying retail for any of your auto purchases, your playing the game wrong.
FYI there is a 20k fee for those stickers. If you are smart you’ll negotiate that with the dealer and end up paying 25k for parts and a little labor on top of a 70k truck. Price out all the aftermarket parts on the truck, that’s what you get.

Just want to let everyone know I’m taking this on as a personal study. I would like to get an exhaust produced but it would probably come to life if I have more peoples interest as well. I’m not in this for any monetary gain.

They can turn blueish too - def unique to have TI exhaust system.

My C5Z has titanium catback from factory - 17 years/45000 miles & it still shines like new (obviously gotta polish it up on occasion) - no chance a standard stainless exhaust even 304 holds up the same.

Got stainless ARH headers on it but would never even consider replacing the exhaust b/c aside from an Akropovic anything else would just be an expensive step down in quality.

Personally happy w/ stock exhaust on the Rap- especially after GH tune as it somehow changed the tone - but seeing the kinda $$$ Raptor owners spend on all kinds of mods I have no doubt a TI catback would sell.

They spend alot, but they get alot. I dont see the reward ratio on a Ti exhaust, unless you have money to blow.

Most here dont keep their Raptors long enough to need a second exhaust due to rotting. The truck is traded when the exhaust just starts to speckle.
I had a stainless exhaust on my old Ram for 10years, I traded it cuz everyhting around it rusted.

Ti exhaust is more of a " hey look at what I have". But all you can see is the tips. So maybe ti tips would be smarter?

I'm inclined to believe that not many people are going to want to climb under my truck to look at the exhaust system, so without some substantial power gains - probably not interested!
