Fuel pump and capless filler issues

is it just me, or does anyone else in CA have to hold the fuel pump nozzle (putting tension down on the nozzle) to prevent it from popping out and disengaging the fuel trigger lock? This means you need to stand and monitor the pump for all 30 gallons, which means you can’t wash windows, check oil or hit the Restroom! I searched and found lots about the capless design causing pumps to get stuck etc, but nothing on this specific issue.

Since I have the locking gas cap I place it in the handle, works for me.

My ‘17 fill up just fine. Don’t have to hold the nozzle trigger to fuel up.

I used to stick a water bottle in the handle to lock it . Local station had the locks removed.

I am in SoCal and never had an issue locks just fine and finishes on its own.

No problem here is south Texas. I have had one issue at a chevron station where the nozzle would not unlock the flap. I had to use the plastic thingy under the back seat to fill up. Now I just avoid that station.
