I have to put the pin all the way back in and move the spring back in place every few months. Have since day one. The jacka$$es build it poorly to start with. There is a metal unit you can get on amazon/ebay that has a nut washer on the other end to prevent it from happening again (hello ford). I have not bought it because I cant figure how to get the assembly out of the fender (cap off tube) without what I would expect to be breaking it. As its built, gravity works against you allowing the pin to work it's way out over time.

Paid $355 for this very problem today to fix the well known issue. Can not believe it is not covered under extended warranty as I am 2 months out of 3 year warranty...

Well I ordered a new fuel door assembly part # FL3Z9927936A and I also ordered an aftermarket aluminum hinge pin so this ******** doesn't happen again.

Will update once installed.
Not sure if the OEM hinge pin is plastic in the Jen Too, but it was in the Jen Juan. I ordered that (or a similar) aluminum hinge pin about a week after I purchased it a year ago and it hasn't come loose since. Hoping that fixes your issue.
