Rattle is back with a vengeance, shifting got worse it really seemed to act like it doesn’t know if it should be in 4th or 5th. Dealership is ordering parts to do the phasers and chain again.Yes, the adaptive tables get reset during programming.

Your dealer(s) likely didn’t flash the latest version. The first update did cause shifting issues and was replaced with an updated update. You can post up the work order to confirm which version it was. @FordTechOne will keep you straight on the real info, no fakes.
The software update is a preventative measure. It won't fix a phaser locking pin that is already worn. Hence the reason for the 21N03 program. Anytime the powertrain calibration is reset the transmission adaptive tables are as well; it needs to relearn the vehicle's operating characteristics.Rattle is back with a vengeance, shifting got worse it really seemed to act like it doesn’t know if it should be in 4th or 5th. No. It's only a noise on cold start; as soon as the phasers receive oil pressure (2-5 seconds) they operate normally.Right I didn't ask what update it was, they said it was the update to the update which you stated but I am not sure what version it was.
Don't the cam phase issue usually kick codes to go along with them?

FTO- shifting has become progressively worse since the update. Where can I get the full documentation on the service bulletin? I've only seen it on a YouTube video. I recall watching they should reverse the update if there is a shifting issue. ThanksThe software update is a preventative measure. It won't fix a phaser locking pin that is already worn.
