I have ceramic in front (80% I think). Definitely reduces heat. Slight rainbow with RayBan polarized lenses. I’m glad I did it.

I did air blue 80 and it’s perfect for reducing heat and headlight glare. It also looks good. I have actually used this on my last 5 cars.

When talking with tint shops just ask what the UV rejection is for the film and it should help inform your decision. Best of luck.

Not a Gen 2, but I’m using 3M Chrystalline CR90 and it doesn’t noticeably change the appearance of the windshield and offers some heat rejection and UV protection. The attached image shows the specs for the tint across the different light transmission options. I wear polarized sunglasses and don’t notice any visual artifacts other than when I see window tint on other nearby vehicles at certain angles. Even then, it isn’t distracting at all. No issues at night either.

I have been running 3M Crystaline 70 in my cars/trucks for the last 5 years. I even use it on the sunroofs. It works very well and does not affect night time driving and is barely noticeable from the outside. It has no bad interaction with polarized sunglasses.

He talked me into ceramic 50% on windshield when I was leaning toward 80%. So glad I did 50%, it’s awesome during the day and not too dark at night. I also did ceramic 18% all around, even over the factory smoked glass. Looks bad ass. Just have to roll down side windows at night to parallel park otherwise can’t see curbs in the side mirror.

I had ceramic on front, was great for heat rejection.

Light sensor blitzed out. Lights off and on at dusk. Haven’t found any work around in forscan. Maybe don’t tint above sensor.

Cracked windshield and replaced with OEM glass. No tint right now but considering it again. Enjoying normal light operation.

Yep, 80% ceramic on the windshield and panoramic sunroof. No negative effects from polarized sunglasses and cuts down on heat in far West Texas considerably. Many times I forget to put my sunshade up and get back in the truck to find it's not nearly as bad as I would think it would've been. Would do it all over again many times over.
