What's the point of a front plate anyway? I live in Jersey and its required here as well.
Ive blown through a couple toll booths in my time and its always the rear plate pic I get in the mail :flipthebird: I plan on not running with a front plate once i get the 2012 Raptor and I def. wont once I get the ADD bumper.

So just run a front and no rear... ****!! no mas toll boof tickets! :ROFLJest:

That would work for tolls, but its a lot more obvious when your missing a rear plate, specially if an officer rolls up behind me. Much easier without a front plate due to living near a tourist area, we get a lot of PA tourist and they dont have front plates so it works :waytogo:

I've never run a front plate despite multiple tickets by the Federales! :)

The thing is that 99% of the times I've been stopped, it has usually been for speeding, stop signs and the like. After talking with the cops, I've always had good luck driving away without a moving violation but would settle on a fix-it ticket for no front plate. No plate gives them an option to let you off easy.

Yup Yup Yup. Thats my logic also. If they are just revenue seeking they may go with the plate instead of the mover. I actually plan to tell them that I got in a minor front ender and that the plate was messed up beyond use. Dont know how far that will fly though Ha.

Im gonna guess and say their logic would be if you ass end someone and back away to take off, a plate is visible to the offended to get a plate number.

Acknowledging the topic of mounting license plates has been discussed previously on this forum, I would like to post it again and ask for suggestions. Given that my month old 2011 Raptor resides deep in the heart of Texas , I need a front license plate if I want to stay out of trouble and have been looking high and low for a creative way to mount the front plate without disturbing the awesome/mean look of the Raptor. Does anyone have any new ideas?

I had a decal plate made. 2 actually and it only cost me $30.00. Its an exact copy down to the colors and its also reflective. I have been stopped many times here in Texas for no front plate but never ticketed. Written warning once. So here is my decal plate. My old man gave me his BMW's plate Sunday to have it done for his front end.

I needed mine moved because I wanted my Aux lights down low behind where the plate was. I had many DPS eyeball me this past weekend comming back from Colorado. Also the Garlang moto cops nail everyone for anything and all they do is look long and hard but have never stopped me yet. AHhahaaaa.

Also, if you go with a state sponsored plate, mine is the FIGHT TERRORISM one they are only $20 -$40 a year with no big dollar fee to retain it. Its yours till you don't pay or drop it. The MY PLATES can add up quik. Its like $70 a year to them and $40 to the state and then you can also reserve the nuber for 2-3-5 -10 years but its big bucks. Go with a state one. Collage, military, nature lover, horn toad or whatever! HAhaha.

WELL? Read the Texas State Requirments below. I think it falls into a safe zone. I will highlite the one that covers me I think. The insignia is the tag renewal thats applied to the inside of the windshield next to the state inspection. I think thats the biggie! The phrase OTHER THAN A VEHICLE ASSIGNED LICENSE PLATE. The number I use IS assigned to me its just not metal. We will see. Its had some hard looks. I guess they think its the real deal just folded around the bumper? HAhahaaaaaaa.

It also looks like $10 will get ya out of the $200 fine. So whats the state care for?
