It is quite a conversation piece. People are always saying "Is that a...CAMERA...in the FRONT of your truck?"

Its cool, and defidently nice to have for those rare off road occasions. Other than that it isn't necessary. You have to enter off road mode and go through a list of menus just to turn it on, so its useless in a parking lot. Its like the lexus and ford park assist. The time it takes you to set everything up, you could have just parked yourself.

I used it once to park up against some stuff in an out building work nicely but would be the same if you have the back up camera it has the green yellow and red mark lines with the blue static lines too so you know if the wheel is going to hit some thing

Parking? Really? That is not what it was designed for...

If someone needs a front camera for parking... You need to trade in your Raptor and get a smartcar!

End of story and discussion..

No, it's the end after I chime in ;) I drive a 45,000 lb HME Smeal fire truck for a living, there's no shame in admitting the front camera would be great for parking, (especially in my garage) if it were as easy to activate as the rear camera (automatic under 5mph). I have it, I never use it because it's too muck of a PITA to turn on. Waste of $$$ unless you do serious rock crawling.

It works great for cresting hills or dips at slow speed. I like it especially after the midnight Raptor run following the rzr through a utv trail. It worked flawlessly.

In Missouri I am used to muddy narrow slow speed jeep trails. The addition of the off road camera was a welcome addition. The hood restricts forward vision to make the trails hard to navigate.

What it really comes down to is the Raptor's habitat.. In the open desert it is pretty useless, rock colorado trails would be excellent. Texas was a good mix of high and low speed.. It is your money, your truck, and your choice how you use it. :D
