Thanks for checking.. my assumption is that the camera should stay enabled on the cluster if you enable it and will show up on the nav screen after you put it into off-road/locker mode.

Mine won't stay enabled/turn on in the cluster for some odd reason..I wonder if there is a fuse for the front camera that could be blown or something.

So, if you try to turn it on without being in the proper mode it just displays instructions in the cluster indicating the modes you need to use and the camera stays disabled. If you are in the proper mode FIRST (and drive) the camera displays on the Nav screen until you go faster than 15mph or whatever it is. It goes back to normal nav screen until you decelerate below the magic speed. It automatically comes back on the screen at that point.

Also, once it's properly turned on, you can change cluster screens and it stays on.

So, you can't even enable it unless you are in the correct mode.

Does an image appear on the display at all? My '13 wouldn't show an image, don't remember if it stayed "enabled" in the instrument panel display, but was in Off-Road Mode and Diff Locked and should have come on but nothing happened (rear view camera works perfect in reverse, in neutral or drive it reverted to the default screen).

Turns out a ******* previous owner had unplugged and/or removed the front camera and tried to put it back in wrong. Long story short even though the connector at the camera looked plugged in, it wasn't making contact, I had to GENTLY seat the connector with a pair of large channel locks until it clicked. Also added dielectric grease and checked the length of the harness as it was misrouted along with the washer line, works perfect now.

Anyone come up with anything. My front camera worked previously, but now does not.

Rear lock 4l 4h off road mode etc.

On the dash when I enable it it returns to disabled within a few seconds. No luck in searching so far, most if the threads go off topic

Best I remember that’s what mine did, did you try reseating the connector at the camera? Trace the wiring for damage?

Digging up an old thread here:

This has just started happening on my 2013 raptor. It worked when I first picked it up, but now, it wont stay enabled in the cluster menu screen. It stays on for about 3-5 seconds, and then disables. Before, this setting would stay enabled, telling you how to enable the front camera to work, and then if you performed the steps, it would work.
Now, it just disables itself. I unplugged and re-plugged in the connector to no avail. Anyone else seen this issue and have suggestions for a fix? The related fuse covers other systems as well, and those systems are working, so I don't think it is that.

I have been looking into the camera system in my 2014 Raptor as I'm having an intermittent rear camera issue where sometimes it does not come on. I have not tried the front camera in a while so I don't know if it is affected or not. I found that both the front and rear share a switching module located under the hood driver side fire wallaround the hood attachment. I'll post pics from the ford wiring diagrams book when the battery for my camera gets charged.

You had me worried as I recently used a foam cannon with simple green to degrease my engine bay, I worried I may have messed up that module (no pressure, just foam). However, my backup camera is working fine, it's just my forward facing one that wont enable. Unless, there is some way to screw up that module and have only one camera work?
