I would really like to do the rear as a 100% factory if possible without adding the lockpic deal. I can get all the needed parts for the rear for about 300bucks(camera, ford emblem housing, wiring harness inside the tailgate) just trying to narrow down whatelse I will need.

The front camera although cool isnt something I think I would use too often but might want to retrofit in the future. I can justify the rear camera more then the front at this time.

I also want to install the trailerbrake control sooner or later too, but that is a walk in the park

I am assuming you are using an ids to reflash the bcm and icm. Are there programable parameters or do you have to get an as built sheet from a vechicle that has the camera? I work on ford vechicles and am familiar with ids , as built etc.

You will need to get an as built sheet. Go to a raptor that has the front camera and download the info from that one is what I would suggest.

We have a dealership that has installed the parts listed in your post. They attempted to program the camera and somehow have reprogrammed the pcm to another vechicle. ( We are assuming they used all of the as built data from a raptor that had a camera) Do you know how to restore the raptor to it's original configuration so that we can start over and just as build the bcm and icm?

Yes your going to need the IDS to do your programming. You will need the AS-Built for a vehicle built with the cameras. I am planning on doing this install on my rear camera very shortly and will have all the correct asbuilt data I can forward on if you like. You are going to be addressing the programming on the APIM module and not the icm or bcm(actually ICM as well if your doing the front camera) There are no programmable parameter to turn the cameras on or off however IMO there should be to make life easier. There is a parameter for the trailer brake controller however

Tell them to do a "blank path install" to program all modules back to the stock config. It will require the VIN number from your vehicle along with the PCM tear tag info. Again you going to want to address the APIM programming if you have NAV in your rig

hey could you help in unlocking to top speed in RAPTOR

You are going to need a aftermarket pcm programmer(tuner) to change the governed speed. The dealer level software will not/can not perform this function.

Front camera

A dealer has a 2014 Raptor I'm interested in , but it was ordered with no front camera.

If I buy the camera and all required pieces from Ford can a dealer install it without tearing the truck apart?

This particular dealer said they didn't think so...they weren't sure.

Have any of you added the front camera?

Thanks.

Your looking at big money, camera , harness, module/s , then comes the as built codes, then a dealer that knows how to do it, at dealer labor rates.
The best route for you would be NAV-TV and aftermarket front camera, and the plus side you will get the whole jail-break/bypass for your system.
Contact ( Noah- THE CAR STERIO COMPANY) SITE VENDOR, he will be able to answer your questions .

I've got a Nav-TV sitting here waiting for my 2014 to be delivered but I'm going to recommend you go with MyFordTouch Lockpick. It's cheaper and there are a slew of camera's out there that will work with it. I installed one on my 2009 jeep jk with front and rear camera's and it's always worked great. The only reason I went with the Nav-TV this time was I wanted the factory camera. The Car Stereo Company runs group buys which saved a bundle from MSRP for the Nav-TV if you decide to go that route.

Wiring in an aftermarket (non-stock) camera to the Lockpick is as easy as installing the Lockpick (plug and play) and running a video wire (simple RCA termination) and if I remember correctly a 12 volt supply to the camera. After it's properly enabled when in reverse the rear camera displays on the screen and if in drive and vehicle speed is <10mph the front camera displays automatically. I have really enjoyed it and it even has a provision to connect a video recorder to (no audio at least I could never get that to work). I called the Lockpick people and they told me there was no provision to use the OEM front camera however.
