We have the official word about Alcohol & camping at Rausch Creek straight from the Park Manager & the Owner.

If you're camping and you are 100% done off-roading for the day alcohol is permitted at your campsite, during the banquet and a littler certain other thing we cooked up for you guys... details soon.

Now we had our official pre-run yesterday and here is a little post run report.
Jason & I were joined by ckelley of Freedom Motorsports & RAPTURR yesterday morning at the park. The Official Topless for TATAs Jeep event was happening there which gave a us a chance to see another very large scale event (over 400 Jeeps were present) being ran at the park. That really helped us put into perspective how to handle some of the challenges our event poses, not to mention gave us a few ideas for our event that we think everyone will like.
We also mingled with some of the vendors on hand and have one possibly two new vendors to add to the anttending vendor list. One of which will be on hand selling recovery gear for people who need it or are looking to upgrade.
We met with our Caterer and solidified the banquet menu.

On the trail..
We ran the day 1 & 2 courses as well as the KC Night Run course. Again without incident or damage to any truck. The Day 1 & 2 courses will take average drivers 30-40min to complete each lap. As I stated earlier in the thread each course is very unique and has many different challenges throughout the course. There is some high speed areas, wooded narrow trail, mud, some small water crossings, steep inclines that ascend and decend which varying surfaces, mildy technical rocky areas, loose boulders, roughly 1000' of elevation change....

The KC HiLites Night Run is taking place on a much shorter course that is in a lower lying area of the property using to hillsides and the valley in between them making it very spectator friendly, Off-road lights should make the entire course be visable from a high vantage point after dark. The course itself is more of the same as the other two courses from a driver's perspective, but with the added challenge of darkness should have an amplified feeling of challenge.

All of us who were out there walked away with a strong sence of optimism and excitement for HITH. Once Jason & I were able to stand there in Rausch Creek together and discuss and visualize things I think it's safe to say we have something that is completely unique in the Raptor world, it's not like the Texas Raptor Run, The Raptor Nationals or our name plate events The SnoBall & Spring13... This event will be both literally & figuratively "Havoc in the Hills!"

We didn't take to many pictures just because we were so busy most of the day, but here are a few to tide you over.

Thanks for the update.........
We hope to meet everyone and take some photos of the event, maybe on Saturday, just as a spectator though. Had wanted to do the event, but I am having knee replacement surgery on August 30th..... :(

I had a blast at the Prerun. It was great meeting Fred, Mark and Jason in person and running the trucks together. We probably would have done a good bit more if we hadn't spent so much time waiting on, backing up for and generally avoiding the jeeps on the property.

My take on the courses? Some are very technical wooded courses, some cool high speed spots, mud that will fool you on it's depth and consistency, climbs and rocky areas that'll make your butt pucker a bit. All in all I foresee a GREAT event coming where everyone from the hardcore guy that will do anything with their Raptor right down to the guy that just really wants to go off road and get the tires dirty without risking too much clean up time will have as much fun as they can handle. I have to say, I was truly impressed that we did the things we did, as hard and fast as we did them, without breaking anything. We hit everything out there pretty hard and fast. I have the scratches and chips in the paint to prove it...lol There were jeeps breaking all over the place, blocking trails, etc. Overall the Prerun was a major success and I can't WAIT to go back in September.

Sounds awesome, I'm looking forward to it. Question: if your feeling "Hardcore" but your truck wants to act like one of those Jeeps at the event (lol breaks), will there be any vendors/shops to do on site repairs, mods, etc.? Oh, and I'm relieved to hear that after hour alcohol consumption is allowed. Thanks for clearing that up.

Yes I believe there will be folks doing impromptu repairs if needed, but I don't really think it will be a major shop experience, etc. But, after going through the course yesterday, I also have to say that you would have to be getting pretty hardcore or have a freak occurrence to break something. Nothing out there even really put a strain on the trucks. Some of the mud holes can surprise you and it IS possible to hit rocks in those, etc. But I didn't see anything that would cause major damage unless you were just going balls out wild with it.

Topless Jeeps raising money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. No, we didn't get to see any ******* other than all the boobie flags waving from the antennas on the jeeps...lol
