Hey if you can leave on Thursday from the Mecca, we need to convoy with MB et. All...

I will see what I can do. Don't even report until september cause of division officer course. So it will be a game time decision for me. Id love to drive up as a group. Let that lidar jammer do some work

Worrying more about getting the truck set up for the run. My pay checks seem to be wanting to go to RPG now a days. Jeff is probably getting tired of my texts.

So just in case I couldn't make it there thursday night cause of work, would there be any major issues if I arrived Friday afternoon? Not sure if the new command will let me miss a Friday when I showed up like 2 weeks before the run... So Friday night would be the worst case situation. Any major issues guys? I definitely want to make it to this run.

No issues with showing up on Friday.

Can you take leave in conjunction with your course? Just make up a good excuse like your sister is getting married or something. They never question that unless there's something really pertinent going on.

I should show up to my command two weeks before the tryp so I will have to see how it works. Doesn't look good for the new divo skipping out after he just shows up. Ill come up with a way. The academy gave me a bachelors degree in bullshitting so I am sure I can figure it out.

So suspension is about to be ordered, bumper is being ordered... Now i need a bed rack and radio... oh and I need some more $$$ ...

I will be placing an order for radios pretty soon if you wanted one.

$275 shipped for a 60W amateur vhf radio programmed with choice of 5" magnetic mount or drill mount NMO base and antenna.

All GLRE support trucks run this radio and many other Snoball/Spring13/Havoc participants as well.

Let me do a little shopping and educate myself on whats out there and I will get back to you. When do you need to know by?

Its a TYT-TH9000 60w VHF amateur radio. I have the radios shipped to me then program them and ship them back out. The great thing about the amateur radio over a "chase" radio like the ICOM-F5021 is that if the radio isnt programmed for that frequency you can just type it in on the keypad as long as its in the VHF spectrum.

**** You should have an amateur radio license to use channels other than MUR;s and other open public radios.

5" magnetic or 3/8 or 3/4" drill mount NMO included
5/8 wave nmo antenna included as well
