I'd want the amber to be mounted between the top of hte tailgate and the roofline (height wise) so it's eye level rather than below. Plus the dust is thicker towards the ground and will hurt visability. Thats why the 3 marker lights were incorporated into the 3rd brake light on our trucks.

well If I win the raffle I won't have to worry so much. Now I have a reason to order more lights.... Yahoo!! I got the perfect place to mount them on mount them on the BakFlip. Any suggestions?

BTW for anyone in near Fayetteville NC There is a HAMfest going on there on Sat. There may be some good prices on radios. I figure I am at least going to look for Antennas.

I did mid perch, I have winch and winch mount. Going to get Fog light kit? Am I good?... oh I guess I need to do something with the spare.

It is probably worth mentioning the D-ring option for those wondering what to do with their spare tire. It was mentioned in the SnoBall thread and a number of us used D-rings to secure the spare in the bed. For those who don't already know you can purchase heavy duty D-rings for a Sprinter van (Chrysler product) and mount them using the bed bolts. This provides a very secure way to strap down a spare without spending much money. All you need is a few D-rings and a pair of ratchet straps.

As far as the fog light kit and off road lighting, you might want more. Maybe I am not the person to make that recommendation. I had a good amount of lighting on my first Raptor trip and half way through my wife told me "you need more lights" I have spent a good deal more putting more lights on since then. No such thing as too much light or seeing too far ahead.

I agree. My first run was the snoball with only a 30" behind the grill and it seemed to be fine for that, the next run I had an additional 20" bar in the bumper which part way through the night run went out due to a broken ground. Being in a sand & mud environment the behind the grill mount wasn't sufficient at night when it was more then enough in the bright snowy environment. This run, with the rocks, elevation changes, high & low speed areas I would say having a wide mix of projection and coverage will be your best bet during the night run.

For my 30th question of the day. Does a Bakflip stay in place during offroad fun and games. Seems I read about one flopping off awhile back but can't seem to find the thread now....may have been another forum.

I know I plan on taking my roll-x off before the run just because I dont want it getting messed up or flopping around. I popped up a little after I jumped it a few times. Besides I need bed access for the run.

Need to get some of those d rings for the bed!!!!!! Luckily I am running to lowes already!

The D-Ring pictured above can be ordered from your local dodge/chrysler parts department. You will not find those at Lowes...
