My father's F-150 with cloth seats had the bottom part of the seat fabric torn and loose within the first few weeks. Even on the passenger side where no body was really sitting. It is the first year of the redesign a 2009 I think.

WOW Iron Man, I have a Lincoln with 200,000 miles that has better leather seats and the car is a beater, Plus my 05 leather Ranger seats look better. Something aint right somewhere! All the cream in the Can wont have helped those seats? Wait a min! Heated or cooled seats wonder if that will matter? Anyone?

Well if i end up having these sorts of issues my "buy a ford" experiment will be over rather quickly. :(

Hope that isnt the case because i really do want to stand behind a company as responsible as they have been these last 5 or so years (both product/business wise)

OK what dos bump mean I've see it a few times now

It's just if you want to bump a thread back up where more people will see it, for more information or an update.

Whenever there is a new post in a thread it is automatically put on the home page where it can get more exposure to people. You can type anything but most just put bump (or bump for update) as in they are bumping that thread back on to the home page or back to the top of that forum.

Ok folks let's be honest here---Ford uses low quality stuff and that is a fact period end of discussion. I have had many cars (none US) that had good leather and the difference is night and day! The best way to keep the leather servicable is to keep it clean!!!!!! Cannot stress this enough and that means keeping the pores of the leather open!!

The human body has oils that are not good for leather and the stuff Ford uses will deteririate rapidly and then crack and break open not to mention wear. The only way around this is to have some good covers made for the seats. Expensive yes but they will last.

Just got my wife a new TTS Audi and it make the leather in the Raptor or my Shelby seem like some type of plastic or vinyl. The best leather seats I have ever had come on the AMG cars by MB but they are a little more expensive lol.

I agree the leather is crap, this is also my first domestic car.

Just turned 600 miles and i'm showing some wear on the outside of the bottom cushin. Likely from sliding out of the truck.

I refuse to use armor all or any thing that shines, is there any kind of milky conditioner that doesn't shine, just softens/hydrates?

Go here and read and learn--Interior Car Care: products to clean & protect all plastic, vinyl, leather, rubber & fabrics... vinyl protectant, leather cleaner, conditioner,

I buy most of my stuff from them----they have all of the good products that I use plus they have good prices! The tutorials will really help you learn how to do tings correctly. Most of us think we know how to take care of our vehicle but dogs can learn new tricks as they say!

Personally for the leather I use the Pinnacle Leather Combo on my vehicles---not as often as I should lol but that is what I use. Hell will go and do it today!!
