The stock capacity shows 2.75qts, from what I understand the FP diff cover ups the capacity to 3.25qts. When I filled the diff after the cover swap I only put in 3qts amsoil severe gear. The oil level is about ~1.5cm underneath the lower fill port.

Is it worth buying another quart of oil just to top off that extra . 25qt, or am I good leaving it at 3qts?

Fill it to the required capacity. Up to the lower fill hole.

If you are selling it tomorrow, just leave it, otherwise fill it to the recommended level, this isn't safeguarded the same as your engine dipstick.

For what is worth, I ended up using a little over 3 quarts in mine to get to the bottom fill hole.

To the OP mixing units to throw us a curveball?

Just FYI I ended up using 3.5qts, filled to the lower fill plug. .25qts more than what the info out there says. Maybe it's a result of my +3 Deaver pack giving me 1" of lift over stock?
