If they choose to replace it, I will need to decide if I have them move the old one to bottom or change the new one to mid... thoughts?

Now that you've got a chance to feel how it rides in both settings, I would think you would be the best person to make that decision for yourself.

Yup. That there is a warranty issue for sure. They need to replace that for you.

A little moisture is totally normal and YES the dust and dirt will collect – what is NOT normal is the wetness going down the side of the shock – Absolutely they need to be looked at. If the dealer will replace both shocks, for sure would be the best scenario – or pop them apart and toss a few new o rings and seals in them. Remember boys to always use the FOX racing “RED” High temp oil…. No substitutes!

I took my truck in this morning to the dealer as the rear driver shock is leaking fluid from the top cap. They insisted it is normal and that they will not do anything about it. I explained that if it loses oil and pressure the shock will not function correctly, again they insisted that it is normal and that there is nothing they can do about it.

Unacceptable. Ask to speak with a manager. If a manager stonewalls you, ask to speak with Ford Customer Service. Make them dial the phone number.

Another dealer it will be, the whole experience with this dealer was not good. I've had bad service from them before on another truck years ago, but thought I'd give them another try. Bad idea...

Got back from ford. Replaced under warranty and moved to mid at the same time. Rides better now. I had forgotten the front end is not supposed to bounce when you go over bumps :)
