Hey everyone. Quick question for you wise folks. First time having anything with an exterior reservoir but is it normal for some grime/dirt build up in this area of the rear Fox 3.0 FRS shocks? Had these 3.0s installed probably a month ago now and I don’t know if it’s leaking or I’m being paranoid.

Picture doesn’t show the build up as I took it after I cleaned it but it does the same on both sides.

Fox determined the build up is considered a leak?
Idk - I just told the dealer that there was a leak and it was possible from oil change or something else. They found the leak on the shocks. About 5k for two rear shocks. I would cry if it wasn’t under warranty.

Yeah that’s for sure a leak.

As for my situation, I wiped it down and hasn’t come back so what @downforce137 said earlier about assembly lube might be right considering my front shocks had some as well and when I wiped those down, it was thick like grease.
