i have rpg rear fox 3.0 shocks, i have tried most of the settings on this thread. my truck currently is 4 turns from closed on compression and 3 from closed on rebound. my truck makes small bumps feel very very rough, and i have significant wheel hop on hard acceleration. any one have a suggestion for tuning them? I am assuming the setting suggestions on this thread are for stock springs. I have deaver +2s.

Try opening up the compression tubes. Mine are at 7 turns from closed and it's pretty smooth.

Keep in mind with the larger amount of dampening you'll feel more "small" bumps and road heaves

Anything less and Gravity was beating the rebound.,

Rear ended was hanging and whole truck was dropping faster then the axel

When we set out to develop the Fox 3.0 SVT Raptor system we never forgot that 90% of the time the truck is used as a daily driver. Out of all the 3.0" systems on the market, we use the softest spring rate. By utilizing a soft spring, we are able take full advantage of the Internal By-Pass system and tune the effective ride zone to be very plush and comfortable for daily driving and wash board type of roads, yet still have the power required to handle the full compression and rebound zones. I think the best way to describe the on-road mannerism of the shock is confident and composed. Harshness over small pot holes and speed bumps go away and the overall feel is very confidence inspiring.

Hope this helps give you a better understanding.

Thanks

Fox

Is there different valving available from you guys when the shocks are bought new? Recently bought a used 2010 with your 3.0's on there, installed about a year and a half ago. Truck is exceedingly stiff on any pothole/or sewer grate style bump, but rides very well at freeway speeds (with smooth surfaces).

Just wondering if the previous owner possibly requested special valving.

Thanks

Not mine one! Front are the same like stock (harsh) and on the rear same problem (Fox 3.0 and Deaver +3)

What setting do I need?

I all the time try new and new setting, but..... nothing.

Can you help me?

To close this out, my tires (general grabbers) caused the rough ride. When I switched to BFG KO2's the ride improved 100%

Hi,
I bought Fox 3.0 with a small mileage at the seller's request,
when I received it - I saw that the stock from one does not come out completely,
but it can be pulled out by hand, the stocks are pushed in with considerable but equal effort.
The nitrogen pressure is the same, what could be the reason?

Low fluid? Or internal valve stuck?
@RPG would know.

Regardless, you'll probably need to rebuild the one shock.

There could be a lot of different things. Can you ship us the shock?
