Because neither are, and I think you know that. American mini trucks have been crap and continue to be.

Ranger and Colorado/Canyon are infinitely better products than the antiquated taco, which still uses drum brakes and is a rust bucket. You really have no idea what you are talking about.

Where is your data to show that people are “dishonest” and aren’t satisfied with the EcoBoost? You don’t have any, your statements are baseless and just plain ridiculous. The EcoBoost provides the best of both worlds in terms of power and fuel economy. Most people don’t want a daily driver with single digit MPGs. The sales numbers tell the story, and is the opposite of your conspiracy theory.

As far as Gen 2 resale value, once again more baseless speculation. Hate to break it to you, but the Gen 3 Raptor will still be an EcoBoost. If there’s a V8, it will be optional and will have a $100k price tag. Clearly you’re here to troll, not to add any value to the conversation. Get a life.

That is correct. Gen 3 will come with an 3.5L Ecoboost (not Powerboost).

Strange -- I just googled Hellcat engine failures and a lot came up. "My hellcat had 18xx miles on it when the engine blew. Dodge won't replace it with an equivalent engine..." Here's another one -- "Supercharger bearing failure at 17xx miles!"

You haven't heard much because Hellcat engines are like unicorns.

You haven't heard much because Hellcat engines are like unicorns.

Chrysler made a poor choice and chose IHI - a Japanese company - to supply the Superchargers for the 6.2/Hellcat engines. They've had significant issues with bearings failing with low mileage. Eaton is the industry standard; I'm guessing they were trying to save cost. The GT500, along with all previous S/C Ford engines, have used Eaton. Same with GM. This scenario is similar to when Ford contracted Yazaki (again, Japanese) to supply the BJBs on 2010-2014 F-150s which experienced the fuse melting issue. Don't get me started on Takata, which was majority owned/controlled by Honda and used unstable ammonium nitrate - despite warning from other manufacturers including AutoLiv - to increase global profits, including those from American companies and subsequent consumers. Companies like that have zero ethics, and claim immunity/bankruptcy when the shit hits the fan.

I think I do, that's why I sold mine last year...

I now see why you're immune to logic or reason, you're emotionally invested because you sold a vehicle that immediately jumped in value. That must sting. Go buy your TRX. It will plunge in value in a year or two, making you even more invested in justifying your dumb decisions. This could lead to a place where your head implodes. We can hope, anyway. :)
