TRX beats the Gen2 in sound and on the drag strip. Name the other 250 ways and it's based off the Fugly Rebel so looks isn't one of them.

I love it when people only have the capacity to make their decision based on one parameter, in this case, the number of cylinders. “More cylinders = more better!!”

I’m not loyal to Ford or any manufacturer but the data we have seems to indicate that the TRX is a pavement princess.

Was that when they were owned by AMC? Or when Chrysler bought them? Or now that they are Fiats? The only Jeep I found tolerable was the Grand Cherokee, the rest were god-awful to drive or ride in. But they were under powered and unreliable. I'm not even going to mention butt-ugly, outdated, or cheaply built. A good start to racing one off road would be to replace everything except the badge. Whether Fiat is worried or not, they or their fanboys can't say "but Jeep" and declare a win. They have to put their money where their mouth is if they want street cred from me. I seriously want to see the TRX run Baja and I seriously want it to do well. That's the kind of competition that improves vehicles.

The fuel economy numbers are out: 10 City/14 highway/12 combined. The Raptor literally gets 50% better fuel economy. It’s hard to believe that something working correctly and not towing could get 10MPG.

I’m out! More money upfront and more at the pump for less off-road capability. Seems like a lose lose.

With the 33 gallon tank, this equates to a range of 330 city.

Motortrend noted that the TRX hit 0-60 in 4.1 seconds. That’s a lot better than what I expected given its size. Moreover, that’s an entire second faster than a stock Gen 2.

People don’t realize how much weight the hybrid stuff adds to the overall vehicle weight. The hybrid Aviator weighs nearly 1000 lbs more than the standard Aviator, which essentially makes it weigh the same as a Gen 2 Raptor. So I am curious to see what Ford does to compete with the TRX on 0-60. 4.1 is going to be tough to beat with a combustion engine.

Tough to base the potential weight gain on the aviator b/c the hybrid aviator is pretty much already fully decked out w/ all the options in addition to the electric motor/battery also adding weight.

I seriously doubt Ford will allow The gen 3 raptor to gain much weight over the gen 2- if any. There are things they can do to help keep the weight down as well.

What does a tune only gen 2 run 0-60 sprint in typically? Mine sure as hell feels fast if launched correctly lol
