Google Earth woukd not be current. That image colud be over a year old.
"Street view" uses their 360* vehicle mounted camera system and is updated far less often, but Google Earth view uses their satellite system and is updated more frequently. My "guess" is it is updated using an algorithm that from a certain distance it will update with new imagery more frequently depending on ho much pixel change there is within that view. So far places like landfills, huge manufacturing assemblies/lots, etc with a lot of color change from far away they snap new pics more often.
As I recall they disclaim the imagery could be up to 1-3 years old.
