Have you seen any issues when downloading the licenses? I've trid reloading the new trial license but it won't change in Forscan and I can't make any changes.

I have a new laptop I run HPTuners on for my corvette has Bluetooth etc which OBD is everyone using? The $80 one or $30?

Buy one of these and download software and I’m set right? Thanks in advance:)

I can’t speak about the $29.97 one, but I have the $79.95 OBDLink MX. As long as you have a windows based laptop (or a Mac running windows thru boot camp I’ve heard) the OBDLink MX is great. Download Forscan, join the forscan forum (and wait until the forum administer approves your forum membership), and download the extended license (free on the forum). Plug in the OBDLink to your vehicle, connect via Bluetooth to your laptop (my windows laptop automatically looked up and loaded the drivers), start forscan and you are in business.

Follow the instructions in this tutorial posted by Livnitup, it’s easy!

You can save yourself some waiting time by signing up for the forscan forum while you are waiting on the OBDLink to be delivered. That way you will be able to get on the forum and download the extended license as soon as you get the OBDLink. I had to wait a day for my forum membership to get approved after I got my OBDLink.

Will disconnecting the battery or dealer service reverse/change any of the forscan tweaks I made? Or are the forscan changes permanent unless I return them to the stock setting?

No, haven't seen any issues. Did your existing license expire before you tried to load the new license?

Disconnecting the battery won't reverse any FORScan change and unless the dealership specifically loads as-built to a module, the changes will remain also. Normal service work won't involve them doing this.

The obnoxious auto/start stop forced me to finally do this and I'm glad I did it. I did the auto/start stop disable, lincoln mirrors, double horn honk disable and seatbelt minders. The secure idle seems like it could cause problems if the battery is low in the FOB so I skipped it. Also I used the cheap $18 cable from amazon and it worked fine.
