Hello guys, and gals. I’m just wondering if the forscan tool is as good as it sounds? Or is there something else that gives you more bang for the buck but basically does the same thing. Also when it comes to pedal commander does it work as it says it does? Is there something similar out there that is better or cost less money. I’m not really interested in doing a full on tune like Cobb or whipple, I would just like to have better throttle response from the pedal.
Thanks for you help.

I have a pedal commander on a 18 super crew. Before PC I got around 15.5. I live in Orlando so lots of flat roads and city driving. I put the PC in on city and dropped to 15.1. I put PC on city mode Plus 4 and I was avg 13.9. I do have 35x12.5 with a 20x10 with a -18 offset on the truck. If you want to haul ass throw the truck in sport mode and the PC in sport mode plus 4 and that bitch is ready to fly. You can burn both rear tires like your own a drag strip. MPG are going to go way down. Eco mode is the most miserable mode you have ever used. All in all
It’s worth the 400 bucks but I wouldn’t be happier paying more than that.

So mileage went down? They claim better mileage.
From a performance standpoint though sounds like it does a good job.

The p/c just fools the computer into thinking you’re applying more throttle than you actually are. This can give you more linear or binary throttle depending on how you like it. I think City to City+1 on the P/c is a happy medium between linear throttle and still drivable in sport mode. Sport mode on the P/C probably would drop your mpg in all but highway mode, it’s pretty aggressive throttle wise, making it almost binary.

find one on here used, they’re a bit spendy if you’re buying new for what you get.

Forscan allows a lot of tailoring and I am not aware of an equivalent or competitor. I think the Lincoln auto fold mirrors probably makes it all worthwhile, the rest is just icing on the cake.

Have both. For scan I really only have used it to turn off Auto stop start and the honk when you get out of the truck

Peddle commander is fantastic. Had it on my 17 and now 19 and could not imagine driving with out it now

I don’t know how some of you insane bastards drive it on sport +2

I’m on city -2 for daily and I find it perfect and not too touchy

PC on city +4, can't imagine driving without it. Here is why i like it most...Before PC I used to always put it in Sport mode when i got in, unfortunately sport mode puts it in 2-wheel drive, so I also had to switch to 4-Auto. When you turn the vehicle off, guess what, it goes back to Normal mode so the next time I got in I had to go back to Sport mode again, then 4-auto again. After doing this 50X I got sick of it and I got PC and now I just leave it in Normal mode 4-Auto and it is better than it was before in Sport mode and I dont have to change anything when i get in to go.

Forscan allows you to customize the electronics of the truck to your preferences. It can do far more than just deactivate the ESS system. I like being able to open the front windows with the remote on a hot day. I deactivated the remote button that releases the tail gate, it kept getting pushed accidentally while in my pocket. I’m about to reset the TPMS having just returned from Raptor Assault and running lower tire pressures (to take away the low pressure warnings).
