Gas Station Danger Zone

Glad to see I'm not the only one with this complaint. ****** me off to all end when I'm trying to squeeze out of the truck after ever so carefully wedging it into it's corner of the garage....

AARGH! It was inevitable that I dimple my door on Gas Station guard pole next to the pump. The damn door will "float" all the way open if your not completely fixated its position, or close it. Major lame! Will any past year's detent retro-install?

Stupid ass design, Ford.

I agree 100%. My finger STILL HURTS from an opening experiance. I back in along my fence which is on the left of the truck. I open the door real slow ALL THE WAY open and it just stops short of the fence and just misses, passes by one of the metal poles. I exit and go to close the door but decide at the last second to go ahead and fold the mirrors in.

So as I swing the door ALL THE WAY OPEN where it was already once, my pointer finger gets sucked in and rolled or pinched between the edge of the door and the pole. I mean SHIT!! I jump back with a loud SOMDABITCH and I look and the clearance between the door and pole as I closed it and its is less than 1/4 of an inch. I somehow managed to roll or pass my 3/4 diamiter finger between the door and pole? Freaking thought I snapped my finger in half.
The door detents DO suck! HAhahaaaaaa. The dents in my finger sucked! HAhahaaaaa.

Dented my door for the same reason at a gas station on the long ride back home from picking it up. My dad drops by to check out the truck and first thing he says after looking at it for 2 seconds is "was that dent there when you bought it?" :flipthebird:
