DTP is shutting down the week of April 25th. It was posted in the Ford Employee section here: DTP Down Week - Blue Oval Forums

There's an ongoing discussion regarding what parts they're actually short on. Nobody seems to be sure. Anything from tires to engine components.

Oh well, when you're waiting this long, what's another week? I'm trying to remain somewhat positive, but it ain't easy!

From an automotive supplier spreadsheet:

Dearborn Truck: Paint limitations ... Down weeks of 7/4 and 7/11 ... Unidentified cylinder head issues.

Paint restrictions?
NAV not being available?
Makes you wonder if it isn't a trickle down effect from whats happening in Japan.
Wonder how many other components they relied on from Japan.

I'm glad I got mine when I did!

You don't have to wonder. There's been plenty of news articles and discussion on the subject.

Xirallic Paint Pigment - Produced by a single plant in Japan owned by a German chemical company.

NAV - Most likely a shortage of individual electronic components produced in Japan. For example, various computer chips, semiconductors, etc.

You can read detailed info in the Ford communications to US Dealers that Randy, our resident salesman, has posted.
