damn thats double what was stated earlier in the thread.

^Haha my install price alone is what this cost Biggest.

wow at that cost there is no way i would even consider it....

so much better stuff that can be bought for the truck for that money....

^Well to play devil's advocate... not really. $1K doesn't get you jack for these trucks. So far the cheapest "biggest" mod for my truck was the set of '13 Beadlocks w/ BFG AT's for $1500. Even then my winch was $1K (least least expensive) and my Headlights from Dawson cost $1.7K.

So far waiting on RPG Stage 4+ w/ all the goodies + install = ~$12K

Again, $1K won't even get you bumpers, lights (good ones that is), suspension, or the "goods."

EDIT: I guess maybe the addition of NAV-TV, Mid-Perch, Console Vault, Liner, and albeit small stuff can be done but let's not fool ourselves into thinking we wouldn't want the big mods.

I like the concept and that it's oem so I assume they would warranty it? The price seems like the only negative side, especially if you don't keep a vehicle for too long.

^This was done under the assumption of Extended Warranty continuity no questions asked. If you think about it why would they NOT warranty it? (its OEM not FRP) Oh, and I'd be more than mad.

Anyways, if a person doesn't keep a vehicle very long, like a new Raptor every year then I don't really think this being cost prohibitive being a valid negative if you have that type of money to trade these trucks in.

So for those who are ordering at any standard dealer here's the Breakdown:

$385 for the Main Kit
~$199 for the (required) Security Kit
w/ 6% MD State Tax came out to be $619.

Install cost me: $471 w/ 1st year included.

Caution: This isn't a system for anyone who needs to think about cost. For me, after getting my truck back after so long I'm willing to throw down to make it shit-hot. So for roughly $1K I'd definitely say explore your other options.

I just personally like OEM on my truck for critical components i.e. wheels and this system. Check out the Viper 5097 system, for anyone who's debating, might be more cost effective.

I was told that the install was plug and play! Ill get pics and or a video up soon.

I purchased the same dealer installed setup for the same price. Works pretty good so far. I had the Viper system (with Smart Start) in my last truck and wish Ford offered something similar. I do not have a security system so I am not sure what the $199 thing is unless the security system is passive.

Not many options with this factory setup - start, lock, unlock. The Viper I could check temperature inside truck, roll down windows, start, lock/unlock and a lot more that I did not use.

If the device installed has actual cellular connectivity it's probably located on the box. Or depending on the provider, on a removable SIM card. I'd think the dealer would provide you with that information on a piece of paper or something.

^Just picked it up.

Basically the truck gets installed with a SIM Card exactly like one in every type of Smartphone minus the iPhones which use smaller SIMs. Anyways, the App requires: a SIM ID #, a name you designate for your truck, and the Remote Access PIN.

After I got it, I decided to play around with it and see if there were any misgivings and bugs that were easily noticeable. So with the phone app running, you can either: Lock, Unlock, Locate, and Start. The function of Locking & Unlocking have about a good 3 sec. delay before you receive phone feedback that the action was completed successfully. The Start can be changed from 5, 10, and 15 min. intervals which is really cool.

Now for the gloss over goodies, the Locate I truthfully have yet to use but I will try it out tomorrow and post back what I think about it. Additionally for the Security Alerts, you can have either Texts sent to any Number(s) and Email notifications sent to any Email Account(s). For the cool part about the Start options, you can schedule a routine Start on specific days and time(s), so for us Military guys - that is Perfect! I can only say it'll make life so much easier now that I can set and forget a routine start for my fluids and belts to run for like 5-10 minutes at like 2 AM so its unnoticed.

Initial Impression: $619 + $470 (install) for roughly $1.1K, yes price is hefty but mechanics of the program seem solid enough, for now.

4 out of 5 stars, only saying that because if the truck can notify you then it should HAVE the ability to notify EMS Automatically/Immediately if the owner gets into a serious collision.

So besides the normal remote start functions, which hopefully are set up, does it do anything besides send break in alerts and being able to start halfway around the world? I could see this being handy in lockout type situations as well.

Lock out? That's why I programmed my doors keypad access.

Pretty expensive IMO. I wonder if there are any 3rd parties selling this OEM kit for cheaper, if so, I'll take a look at it.

Main feature I like is the text alert if it gets hit, but as some have mentioned, other aftermarket systems does the same thing.

Are those the lengths of time it wil run until shutoff?

A lot better than having someone go by and leave it running for 20 mins in your driveway or worse driving and wrecking.

I can only imagine leaving it in my shops parking lot and have it go off in the middle of the night. LOL

Stupid question but do you need to have the remote start to be able to run this system? Some of us have old 2010's :stoner:
