Per my dealer, $649 installed. It apparently comes in a kit form. The scope of work is based upon you already having a remote start on the key. I'm not sure if the price goes down if you already have remote start? I'd hope so because that's pretty expensive for the hardware. Apparently the literature is first being shipped to the dealers so it'll be a few more weeks before the numbers can be firmed up. This is a third party app that's being endorsed by Ford. I checked "SpinDance"s website and they do show a snap shot of the app screen, but provide no information on it. The dealer does confirm that there will be a $50 annual fee.

Thanks for the info! $649 is high for myself, but hopefully it'll come down if we already have remote start. Guess we'll just wait and see.

I downloaded the iPhone app and tried the demo. And then when I went to register, it told me I already had an account.

Upon further investigation, it turns out this is the same company as CarLink - Audiovox. I had researched this when I had my F350 and created an account then. It was on my short list to buy but lost out to the Viper SmartStart. Same approach. They both put a GPS enabled cellular connected micro under the dash. I had my SmartStart for about 6 months before trading in the SuperDuty. It's really a novelty item as I can start my truck without it just using the key fob from most windows (home and office). It was really only useful when flying back into town during winter. I could start it while the airplane taxied to the gate.

One important note... It's NOT two way, so if your truck fails to start (like my heavily tuned 6 liter Deisel) then You will never know until you walk up to the cold dead hulk :(

So why should I get this instead of the Viper Smart Start? Can you control all the climate settings with it? Play a certain song at startup?
