Ford Recall Field Service Alert 18N03 | Door Latch Freezing Concerns

I was just notified via the FordPass app that there's a new recall from Ford, shown below.

Desciption: Door Latch Freezing Concerns

I called the dealer and they said it wasn't mandatory or a safety concern. Something to do with this only affecting Raptors in the north, in cold weather that drive through water. They said they put a foam seal in the door. The service writer also said it wasn't a recall, although, in the FordPass app it says it is. Hmmm....

Anyone have any more info?

What year is your truck? I have a June built 2018 and have not seen this recall on my ford pass. I know there has been an ongoing problem with F150 door latches freezing since 2015.

I am pretty sure this is a supercab only recall. Known issue with supercabs with the suicide doors.

That deserves a "like", but I'm moving to the Raptor after years in Texas with only a sheet of vinyl over my head (if anything) so I'm expecting it to feel like driving in a refrigerator
