Km2s. I drive a lot of dirt roads in Michigan and the all-terrains pick up way to many stones & throw them at my paint. So I always run the mud-terrains , they work great in the snow & they clean-out better when off-roading.

I have heard good things about the KM2's in the snow. Years back I ran the original KM's on my F250 and in the snow I really liked them in the soft stuff but on the compact they weren't the best. I did get 65K out of them on a diesel pickup though :pepper: Were you referring to mud terrains in general or the KM2's?

Yes I was referring to the KM2s. 65k out of them on a diesel is awesome! One of my best employees inherited my 2008 f350 crew diesel and I've got 44k on the 18' KM2s, I know him all to well he'll never reach 65k. He's 8 years younger than me with a heavy foot :)

I liked the old design too, I ran those on a couple trucks. The only problem was no sipping. The middle tread design on the Trail Grapplers remind me of the old BFG mud terrains, except the Nittos have sipping. I was very tempted to try them.

I know.... My reputation and knowledge of the IWE system and Ford Raptors speaks for itself.

Unless you intend to plow only in 2wd and not use the 4wd system, you will have no problems.

Ford/Borg Warner integrated wheel ends are only designed for mild/slick roads (ie causal use). Unless you want to upgrade to a solid axle to increase reliability, there are NO OTHER upgrades.

If you want to beat on the same doors that I and many others have about upgrading the IWE system. Go right ahead..

Just trying to save you frustration down the road, because Ford will not warranty the IWE when you damage them (unless you are good buddies with service manager).

After do some reading on the IWEs it sounds like the biggest damage is done when they're in the in-between state of locked and unlocked. Some people even disconnect the vacuum lines to ensure full lock. In a pinch that might just save you!

My old man ran an f150 with a plow back 10 years ago and he had no issues. Did Ford use IWEs back then?

Ford struggles with hubs , all My Super-dutys have had hub issues. Some we put warn lockouts on them. I wish that was an option on the 150s :)

The Raptors frontend holds the plow better than our Chevy & GMC 2500. This is a Western 8-10ft Wideout plow.

I can't figure out why there are two links to youtube. Anyone know why??
