I've heard bad things about level kits on the Raptor about them tearing up the shocks. Is that true? I want to level out my Raptor but don't want to hurt the shocks by doing it.

Unless the kit was installed incorrectly, or the vehicle was taking some seriously heavy abuse off-road, I do not see how a leveling product could hurt the shocks. The strut extension is used to level the vehicle while providing a mild lift. As this T6 billet extension is mounted on top of the strut and doesn't require any additional modification, its a relatively simple and easy way to get that extra lifted and leveled look on the Raptor. Bottom line, installing the ReadyLIFT T6 Billet strut extensions is designed to give you a 2" lift in the front while maintaining your factory ride and without harming your shocks. By modifying the perch of the shock, you can get about a 1.5" lift on the Raptor, but you would end up with a stiffer ride overall, because you are compressing the spring and increasing the spring rate. By installing the ReadyLIFT T6 Billet kit you can receive a 2" lift in the front while maintaining factory ride as the extension goes above the strut. Were you looking to do both? If that is the case, this would not be recommended as you would bind up the CV's. You could achieve a better ride, and lift with the leveling kit rather than making the mid-perch alone and you would definitely want to stay away from trying to combine these two modifications. Don't hurt the shocks. It is the front cv axles you have to worry about.
Icecobra had had success running this setup. Others haven't. Inspecting you front drive line would be a safe way to ensure it is wearing properly and not broken before you would need it.
