Santa came early today and delivered this beauty. Can't wait to install.

Edit: Installed, and am very impressed. Holds 1/2 quart more than factory and is built like a tank. The lubelocker is a must for those thinking of changing your diff. I am confident this mod give me at least 5 extra hp

I looked at the aFe and Mag Hytec but ultimately decided on the Ford Performance simply because I wanted cast iron compared to aluminum. It's just a personal preference, and I really like the looks of it. I am throwing 3.5 qts of Amsoil in that puppy!

I like it. Suggest using a lube locker gasket. I use them on my jeeps works great.

Awesome, and thanks for the heads up. Just ordered the gasket. I have never heard of lubelocker, but I am impressed with the reviews. The gasket that came with my FP rear diff cover is paper thin and flimsy. The lubelocker seems to be a much better alternative.

Question: torque specs with the FP diff cover is 14 lbs. I wonder if this gasket changes the torque specs as it appears a little thicker?

I would think the cast iron would offer better protection than the aluminum but would probably be more likely to rust here in Michigan.

Don't forget the Spicer/non-FRPP branded cover for less money.

True, but for an extra $40, I like the Ford Performance stamp rather than Spicer :)

Not saying that it can't rust, but man this thing is powder coated and seems as durable as a tank. I simply like the fact that it's cast iron rather than aluminum. I would like to replace the oil pan, front diff, and any other aluminum piece on my truck with cast iron if possible. I realize it's a little heavier, but I prefer durability over weight especially since the weight is negligible.
