Haven’t owned a new Ford for awhile. What are the uses/benefits of Ford Pass?
Ford stalks every move your truck makes and sells the information to Google, NSA, KGB, CCP, and anyone else who wants it. You can find your truck if some kid steals it, but a pro disables the GPS right away, so that's no help. They tell you when there's a recall. Supposedly you can log your service if you do it at home but I haven't bothered to figure that out.

You also get Ford pass points from service history ect so you can use that for free services and brakes etc. Really handy to have personally

I use Android, so not sure. Working great for me though. Seems it doesn't work with Android Wear, even though it works with Apple watch. That kind of sucks.

Just pointing out that it's basically useless. Maybe I should have been more explicit. Everyone like explicit ...
Useless to you, but not to many of us. I use mine daily and could care less if Ford tracks me. We are all tracked by our phones/laptops anyways.

Whatever you do don't depend on the oil life display. I put in synthetic so it was no big deal since the app uses a 5000 mile semi synthetic oil change interval. The app said I still had low 30% oil life remaining and I was at the end using actual miles. When I asked my service writer he said the app uses average miles, but that doesn't make sense to me since it knows the actual miles. Anyone else been told this?

I deleted the app and during the re-install process realized my VPN was on from the hotel stay on the trip home from picking up the truck. I turned it off, got the app re-installed and everything worked fine. Re-tested it by launching it with the VPN on and it launched fine. So, not really sure what caused it, but re-installing did the trick.
