News flash all. It is not the carbon fiber package that halted production. The Raptor is the only F-Series vehicle that get the CF package.

"Both assembly plants are unable to continue building the F-150 pickup truck due to a lack of critical components supplied by Meridian Lightweight Technologies. An explosion and fire at Meridian's facility in Easton Rapids, Michigan, last Wednesday completely knocked production of components used in the instrument panel of the F-150."

Quote was taken from the original post. It's the instrument panel that is the problem.

I got my VIN last week too. Looks like we are on a similar production schedule. I got my build week of June 4th, but who knows after this fiasco. I'll keep you updated on my progress and scheduled build.

Sorry for all of you that are waiting, but on the Ford side delays only HELP sales. Higher prices, more demand, and in general, the more you make someone wait the more they want it (Like the blonde at the bar =)

agree, supply and demand. Sorry you guys have to wait but happy for me who bought just over msrp a couple months ago. This will definitely wipe out the current msrp deals or at least limit them.

This really only holds true for products that don't really have much or any competition. The Raptor may fall into such a category but the F-series as a whole most certainly does not. This setback includes, but is not limited to the Raptor. There's zero chance this helps Ford.

This post and especially the one below it really just sound like they were made by folks who paid MSRP+ and trying to plant seeds of doubt so others give up waiting on MSRP deals.

Out of all the companies affected by this, Ford was the first on scene to assist with getting Meridian up and running again. You can bet this will be a short lived issue, whatever Fords needs to do.
