There is chatter that Apple is looking to possibly purchase Ford.... Since Nissan acquisition fell through.

I hope to hell that the US Government has the sense to never let Google/Apple/Amazon/Microsoft/Facebook merge with Ford or GM. Huge anti-trust concern.

Partnering with Apple to to put tech in vehicles, particularly self driving tech, would be one thing.

Apple wants to get into the Electric vehicle business. Elon Musk was interested in selling Tesla to Apple BUT apple said no.

It would not surprise me that Apple purchase Ford. Ford has invested billions into electrification and has the infrastructure and supply chain to produce vehicles.

The family has indicated on multiple occasions they have no interest in a merger or buy out. Most recently with the FCA merger proposal.
