I have read and seen many complain about the Ford factory spray in bed liners, however could not find anything on it's resolution from Ford. Well, last week i took my new 2014 Raptor into the local dealerships collision center and made a complaint about the notorious rust from the rear bumper brackets that touch the bottom of the truck bed and made a complaint about the incomplete factory spray in bed liner at the same time. The service writer took pictures, actually a lot (LOL), and submitted them for approval. Today i called and the service writer indicated that Ford committed to the warranty for fixing the rear rust, etc., however he stated that Ford acknowledged the incomplete spray in bed liner job and was working with the "sub-contractor" that originally applied the product for a correction method. He further indicated that the problem seems to be how they would correct it, LOL. I said see if they would just contract with a local company and respray the entire bed. My next question to you all would that work? Or would the. say Line-x, not adhere to the ford product?

I will keep this thread updated with the particulars about Fords warranty and how they resolve the problem!

Interested in the outcome since I was one to show the shoddy job here. Haven't talked to the dealer about it though. No idea what the hell they are talking about with the subcontractor though, Ford brought that in-house a couple years ago.

Just received a call from my local Ford dealership service guy and he related that Ford declined any corrective measures and that this was within expectations! LOL

That's just wrong! When will the Ford Rep who monitors this site chime in on this?

Pretty much. Wow I know people talk shit about GM's customer service but from some of the things I've read it's pretty much on pad with everyone else. Just with a couple more recalls lol.

* I have to totally agree, honestly my overall experience with Chevy has been superb! On the other hand, Ford has been overall pathetic! This being said i truly really like my Raptor, however has a very poor opinion of Ford and it's overall customer service based on my last two Raptors. If Ford would ever take more priority in quality control and overall cosmetics, they would be top notch!

^ You tried contacting that "Crystal" person on here yet? I have read about her offering to help other owners on the message board with service department/dealership issues, etc.

* The service guy stated that the area rep did see the issue and felt it was acceptable! I really thought they would at least spray all the bare areas and at least cover all the bare metal. Never again will i get any factory bed spray option, it is super thin and was a really poor overall job!

* I think if more would actually make a claim and one of us got it covered under warranty it would set precedent. The service guy indicated that he had never had a claim with the spray in liner before. My thoughts is that many just accept it or have no clue it is not complete under the rails and do not worry about it. Interesting that the service guy kept relating it as a paint protector.

* Once again, i found it amusing that he spent more time convincing me that the dealership is not Ford and he really needs me to give a 100% satisfaction on my survey, LOL!

* I think Crystal and each dealership have different objectives and priorities! LOL
