Hi.
Need some help icon_rolleyes.gif please icon_e_wink.gif
I`m new to this forum and using ForScan tool, so apologise if this has been answered before.
I`m working on a Ford F-150 Raptor 2018 model with Navigation problems after owner tried updating himself using a USB bought online somewhere. (Don`t know what his done or where he bought it)
The owner tried to update Navigation Map for EU (Norway), on a US marked car, problems started then.
There is now a Ford Mustang on the screen and Please insert USB Stick, version 306. Nothing workes, no radio, media, navigation++
I also tried updating with the same USB stick owner bought, but in the end the screen went red and I needed to turn ignition off/on the get te Mustang back again.
Is there a way using Forscan to reset/write all Asbuild codes in the car?
When I go into different modules there are more blocks and numbers then there are in the "Asbuild sheet" found at https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt.
Can I reset like "Back to stock" somewhere?
Another thing, when going into IPMB for Module configuration (AS Build Format) it goes to 70% and stops, service procedure has been interrupted?

Thanks.

Regards.

Sounds like the owner flashed the module with the euro hack version found on the f150 site and linked several times here as well. The USB wasnt bought, he made it. I believe he will need to take it to a dealer and have them either reflash it (which I don't believe is possible) back to factory or the module will need to be replaced because the software is borked.

Sounds like they didn't do the firmware update, used the wrong, incompatible files from a website, and locked the whole thing. up.

Forscan really won't be much use unless there is a super secret code buried deep.

My best guess is that the map set wasn’t compatible. @Livnitup or possibly @FordTechOne may have some insight.

The as built values would get your modules to the correct values from a FORSCAN perspective, but that would be a painstaking process unless it was a restore from a backup.

It sounds like the APIM has been corrupted. I would recommend downloading the Sync programming files from either PTS or the Ford Owner Sync website and try to install them via USB. If that doesn’t work you’ll need the Ford IDS software and a VCM2 to restore functionality.

Thanks for all the help and explanation. I talked to the dealer yesterday, they might help next week, cause their technical manager was on holiday.
Hope for the owner's sake that they manage to update without him physically having to change module. Expect it to be an expensive affair. ;-)

Hi @blwn
Do you think running this Folder2 could fix the problem? and after running this, what to do then?

Hi again @blwn
Everything work fine after updating with Folder2 as you said, the car is okay, thank you for your expertise :)

Do you know if it`s possible to get Map for Europe to this car? The car is imported from US to Norway.

Thanks ;-)

Yep, you should be able to follow this site to get the files needed for Europe. The other link was just easier to get you back to a standard state.

I will try updating today and see how it goes :)
Just one question, CyanLabs says when choosing NEW VERSION, you should choose same Region as you already are in. (Current version for this vehicle are NA)
CyanLabs does not support changing Region, you may need to do some changes with ForScan?

Do you know if you tic off NA in Current Version and EU in New Version what to change with the ForScan tool?
Sorry for all questions, as said, new to ForScan and this car :)

Thanks for all help so far.
