My apologies for this stupid question, how are you guys liking this Ford ESP warranty and how is it working for you so far?

Currently, I'm dealing with the dealership right now due to my sunroof being damaged. Apparently my sunroof had two 2 tabs that broke off and caused damage up there.
Anyway it's too long of a story right but all in all the service manager inserted his foot in his mouth by saying that "This is a common problem with Ford Raptors." I used that ammunition so I wont have to pay a freaking $1938.66 to repair my sunroof... At this time my sunroof is opened and it will not close.

I guess I'm trying to cover my ass for next time this happens or something else like the engine.

Thanks gentleman/gentleladies

Not following, so what happened on how the sunroof was handled?

So just purchased the ESP from Flood Ford online

6 year 125,000 mile $100 deductible = $1595
Added $125 exterior/interior bulb coverage

Total $1720

Well, its a simple question, really.

Was your truck under warranty?

If yes, repairs should be free.

If no, then repair is on your dime.

ESP extends the time and mileage it gets to be on Ford's dime.

Not following, so what happened on how the sunroof was handled?

ZBoater, thanks
RDFTS,

I guess what I was trying to ask is, do you trust the Ford ESP and is it the right route to go? I almost had to pay $2K just to fix my sunroof but because the service manager told my insurance adjuster that this "was a common issue with the Ford Raptors," the insurance adjuster put that on paper and notified me of what he said. So I knew at that point I was not going to pay for something that could be put on recall.
All in all I did not pay for the repair.

Now I'm like I need to looking into getting an extended warranty.

The Ford ESP is better than any 3rd party warranty out there. Those 3rd parties can go out of business and you are screwed plus they are a pain to work with, ask me how I know. If Ford goes out of business then we have more things to worry about.

Guess I don't understand how this would not be warranty work regardless if it is common with raptors. What difference does that make? Trying to understand their logic here.

We solely sell Ford ESP at our store. Do we lose out on sale occasionally because ours are more expensive than aftermarket? Absolutely. Do we have customers coming back to us because a Ford store refused their warranty while they were on a family road trip? Never.

Your website is down, can't get pricing on ESP.
