Ford enables Waze, WiFi, and amazon Alexa for sync 3

I have an 18 and its 2.3

I think all 18's are on 2.3. It also sounds like it will work with our 2.3. I will check it out Friday when I return to my truck.

I couldn't get it to work... I have an '18 and an iphone, had to turn carplay off, no apps will sync though with sync, weird.

Ya, that is something different, my '18 has Pandora and all the Apple Apps when I plug in usb. The first time it took awhile as it had to activate car play.

I think the announcement may have been misleading. The way I read it, we will SOON be able to project waze. I don't think everything is up on Ford's end even though the Waze app updated this morning. I think it might be a couple of weeks. I just took delivery (less than a week old) '18 screw and my version is 2.3 and Waze doesn't show up in the app link.

From Ford's announcement-
"Waze users will soon be able to project real-time traffic and navigation information onto Ford’s SYNC 3 touch screen and access the services by voice
commands.."

At launch in the coming weeks, any 2018 model year Ford vehicle equipped with SYNC 3 version 3.0 or greater will be able to run Waze on its touch screen. Other SYNC 3-enabled Ford vehicles can receive an over-the-air update or an update via USB to enable Waze functionality.

my dealer says no update from sync 2.3

I'm guessing that Waze isn't ready yet, the latest update is for Weblink, not AppLink.

Tried it out on my '17 with 3.0 and no-joy.
