Ford Bronco Raptor vs. RAPTOR

I'm hoping it's more rock crawling oriented than baja running. I got my raptor for my baja needs but I'm hoping the new bronco will be badass in rockcrawling in areas like moab. A true jeep competitor

Last I read was Ford was dropping the Bronco Raptor name and calling it the Warthog.

Warthog was probably a nickname from the Ford engineers. I like it better than using Raptor but "Raptor" has more clout and marketing power. $$$$$

We do know that the bronco raptor will get the 3.0tt. I am not sure that it will have a good market presence when you can get the 392 Jeep Rubicon. 3.0tt is a good ford engine, and I like it much more than the 3.5.
My gut feel on this is Raptor is an option package now. I also do think that the F150 Tremor was brought about to absorb / run out the 3.5 ecoboost. Same with the Expedition ST... brought about to use up the 3.5 ecoboost. Again, just my thoughts... no data behind it.

Be funny if Ford put the 5.2 n/a in the bronco Raptor just to tick off all the F150 Raptor guys hahahaha and yeah, it would actually make a lot of sense since Jeep has the 392 Wrangler & it wouldn’t really impact the cafe averages much since it would only be a fraction of the sales.

A bronco riding on 37”s w/ the exhaust note of a GT350R? That sounds like a very enticing package if you ask me.

Ford has never half assed the Raptor, what makes yall think they'll half *** this? The Raptor has a different/more reinforced frame over the F-150. Wouldn't it be safe to assume they are doing the same to Bronco?

Same. My wife has always been a die hard Jeep owner and has a 19 Rubicon right now. But I'm hoping I can get her to make the switch in a couple of years to the Bronco Raptor

The 5.2 would be the NON-fpc engine. So, it would not have that obnoxious howl that the fpc engine has. I am not a fan of that!! I do like the 5.2 in the gt500 though, but even better is a 5.0 with SC. In any case, I just want a bulletproof engine.

If the Bronco Raptor is for women, as many seem to believe, then it seems unlikely they would bother with a V8. As far as fraction of sales, I bet they make more Bronco Raptors than Raptor Rs.
