Greetings fellow Raptor Owners,

I recently picked up a 2020 Oxford White 802a Supercrew Raptor! Loving this beautiful piece of engineering so far! Definitely an upgrade from my 2001 F-150 Lariat. Feels more like a space ship with all this tech I'm not used to. I am also new to vehicle forums in general so bare with me if I'm being "that guy." Three quick questions if y'all don't mind.

(1). Is there anyone from the South Florida area that can direct me towards some groups/clubs that are down here? Would love to meet with others and pick their brains about the Raptor.

(2). What's the first mods that you did for your raptor? (trying to brainstorm ideas at the moment)

(3). Is there any quirks that are good to know that are not quite obvious to the naked eye?

Looking forward to interacting with everyone!

Tons of mods you can do, just browse the forum for ideas. Lighting, bed covers, brakes, wheel liners, plus a lot more. It just depends on what you want your Raptor to be.

Will do! I think I wanna add some nice touches but not go too too crazy cause of the glorious thing called warranties ;)

Congrats and welcome. That trucks a beauty. I’m in South Fl as well. There is a group on Facebook South FL Raptors and SE Raptors. There’s several guys that get together for rides like up in Ocala.

We have a few guys down here that are very friendly. We have done various mods. Feel free to ask away. Always willing to help a fellow Raptor brother and neighbor.

Enjoy that beast.

I appreciate the kind sentiment! I'll check out those facebook pages. Other than tint (I already got it lined up), what beginning mods would you recommend?

Welcome to the Family!

My first mods were a tonnau cover and a swing out tool box. I’ve now started to move onto Exterior Illumination. Ford gave us 6 switches to work with. I figure it would be rude to not use all of them.

Here’s a few things I have done or in the process of.

I filled the bumper pockets with 3 sets of BD pod lights. Tied them into 3 separate Aux switches.

Upgraded the license plate bulbs to LED(The only exterior lights Ford used incandescent on, why? Lol)

Forscan mods. Are you familiar with this app? You can change and add features to your your truck that were set aside for other models. I have made many changes, one being the Lincoln Fold mirrors, once you lock your truck.

I modded and upgraded the existing subwoofer in the truck. Looking to revamp the whole system eventually.

Husky Rear wheel well liners.

Stubby 3” antenna

Eibach front springs to level the truck.

Lomax bed cover.

is your bed Linex’ed?

And some other mods and some in the works. What are you thinking of?

Did you adjust tire pressure to 36 front and 34 rear cold and before the sun hits them in the morning? If not this should be your first mod. The truck drives worlds better.

Welcome great color choice. I’m in central FL and we have a group called Florida Raptor Runs on FB. Lots of events from Ocala trips to meet ups, wings and beer, and such.

I’m more on the extreme bias of mods so if it were me I’d dive straight into suspension. Go Deavers leafs, RPG chase rack with the rst18, kHc locked front lca and billet uppers, change out those springs up front.. grab a new front bumper and deck it out with some lights.

that would be my first purchases. But that’s just me.

there is A LOT you can do to these trucks. Just depends how many zeros you want to dish out.
