Here’s a few things I have done or in the process of.

I filled the bumper pockets with 3 sets of BD pod lights. Tied them into 3 separate Aux switches.

Upgraded the license plate bulbs to LED(The only exterior lights Ford used incandescent on, why? Lol)

Forscan mods. Are you familiar with this app? You can change and add features to your your truck that were set aside for other models. I have made many changes, one being the Lincoln Fold mirrors, once you lock your truck.

I modded and upgraded the existing subwoofer in the truck. Looking to revamp the whole system eventually.

Husky Rear wheel well liners.

Stubby 3” antenna

Eibach front springs to level the truck.

Lomax bed cover.

is your bed Linex’ed?

And some other mods and some in the works. What are you thinking of?

Did you adjust tire pressure to 36 front and 34 rear cold and before the sun hits them in the morning? If not this should be your first mod. The truck drives worlds better.

Welcome great color choice. I’m in central FL and we have a group called Florida Raptor Runs on FB. Lots of events from Ocala trips to meet ups, wings and beer, and such.

I’m more on the extreme bias of mods so if it were me I’d dive straight into suspension. Go Deavers leafs, RPG chase rack with the rst18, kHc locked front lca and billet uppers, change out those springs up front.. grab a new front bumper and deck it out with some lights.

that would be my first purchases. But that’s just me.

there is A LOT you can do to these trucks. Just depends how many zeros you want to dish out.

A majority of the mods you listed, were things that I was already researching. Great minds think alike! So far the ideas were:

-LED license plate bulbs: https://www.diodedynamics.com/194-hp3-led-bulbs.html
-Smaller antenna: whether stubby or the classic 50 cal bullet
- Audio: I have the B&O audio (only reason I have it is cause it came with the package and I believe I got a great deal on it so no biggie) but was thinking of upgrading the system for better clarity.
- Exhaust: (maybe). Trying to decide whether to keep it stock (I've always been a V8 guy so no true rumble is a disappointment) or go with either a Borla S-Type or ATAK system. Or if there is anything that anyone recommends?
- Under Seat Storage: https://www.builtrightind.com/products/builtright-industries-velcro-tech-panel-kit
- Bed Storage (it came with a spray in bedliner): https://www.builtrightind.com/products/builtright-industries-mbrs-fseries-kit
- Bed Cover: Not quite sure what type/brand cover I'm looking for
- Paint Scheme: Looking to keep the base white but for accents, I am thinking of either two themes (both star wars nerd stuff): (1) a stormtrooper theme where the base is white with black everything else or (2) R2D2 theme with white base and blue accents (kinda fits ford imo)
- Grille/Tailgate/Badging Lettering:looking to outline everything with whatever scheme is chosen above.

The lights in the bumper pockets sound intriguing since we already have the 6 aux switches and the rear wheel liners. The real dilemma is to keep it OEM with minor-moderate upgrades that give it a nice touch or like @PorterW1111 said, go big or go home. A fellow oxford white fellow! Cheers to that! :favorites13:

Welcome to the Family!

My first mods were a tonnau cover and a swing out tool box. I’ve now started to move onto Exterior Illumination. Ford gave us 6 switches to work with. I figure it would be rude to not use all of them.

Welcome to the place. Congrats on a beautiful raptor.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Are all vehicle communities this friendly? :headbang:

Welcome,

Maint item... make sure to open the roof often, and clean and lube often if it is so equipped. Few good threads on here about how and what products to use. Lots of people have had issues with them, but seems totally avoidable if you maintain it as suggested.

Bed cover, just makes life easy. Pick you poison on what type, but suggest hard cover to keep honest people honest.

Bed lined or not, a bed mat is nice. I got the $85 Dee Zee one off amazon and things not sliding around in your bed is worth it alone. Much less if you actually use your bed heavily.

You've got tint covered so sky is the limit form here on mods... good luck!

Oh, I live in Central Texas... gets hot as hell here too. I see you don't have one now, but make sure a front license plate does not go in front of your intercooler.

Have fun!

I’d basically drive the truck and get to know it well. Eventually certain mods will appeal to you. Things like a bed cover and lighting are typical early mods.

Thanks for the insight! Florida is a beautiful place that doesn't require front plates. That way we don't have to clutter our rides up!

Has anyone done a ceramic coating for your truck? One of my buddies is a detailer and mentioned it. Wanted to see if anyone had any luck with it so far?
