What Hush said but I'll throw this in. One weekend I knocked out the driver said front and back. Next weekend I knocked out the passenger side. That entire week in between I kept hearing noise coming from the passenger side. I realized of course it was road noise but the how loud it was coming from that side reinforced how quite the driver's side had become. After I did the passenger side that noise went away. Now I have done the backwall and the back flooring. I still have to pull the front seats to do under the front. View attachment 361459

Dude, that is hard core right there. I'm pretty sensitive to noises, rattles and such. May have to plan on doing this to the new truck. Thanks for the photos and post!

Thank you so much im going to tackle this today.

Update: So i put some stripping on that but for me that wasn’t it. It seems like it’s literally the metal insert speaker grille. Once I push it in, the noise stops.

Way to go boss. My gen 3 arrived last week and those yahoos at the dealer have been trying to fix the stupid rattle before I take delivery.
Let us know what they do. Still waiting on a fix for this. It’s in their system and they said they would have a fix by …….September. Doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. Going to give them a few more weeks then probably force them to make a decision. Bought end of august. Has the rattle - started 3rd day after buying so go figure.

Thanks OP! I only had to do the module. Not the other stuff

Took module off and put a fat piece of gray door seal foam. Worked but ended up hearing another rattle which turned out to be a cable banging on the inside metal. Same type of seal on the inside for rid it the the rattle.
If you open up the plastic vapor barrier and lookup inside you can see the one white cable line that's very close to the panel that rattles against. I used the foam as a test and it worked well. I used a foam tape that had better adhesive on both doors.

Thank you for sharing, OP. Just this morning, I leaned over my passenger seat and punched the door, which temporarily fixed the rattle. But, I like your fix better. LOL. Ill likely be doing some of what you have done in the near future. Thanks again.

Like a lot of others I had a terrible rattle in my driver and passenger doors when playing music with any sort of bass. Even when the bass was set to factory. I took the door panel off and started searching for rattles.

The main rattle was from the box that says “DCU front only”. While I had the door off I lined the interior of it that touches the door frame with some sticky foam. Can get it at any hardware store. I also put some of that foam in other places I read about rattles coming from like the triangle shaped plastic piece on the A pillar

Sorry for the song choice haha but had to find a song that replicated the frequency of the rattle. Turn the sound up on the video to hear the rattle of yours is similar.
Attaching a video of it and photos.

Thanks for sharing your detailed findings. Can I just point out how insane it is to have to do this? Dissembling a new vehicle to keep factory levels of bass from rattling all four doors? I just bought a ‘22 and am finding after just a few days of ownership, a lot of little things like this. A knocking noise seems to be coming from the front right suspension. Either the half shaft? or shock issues I’ve now read about. I had a 2014 XLT that was smooth driving and boring, but less rattly kind of experience. This must be leftovers of the whole debacle of quality control experienced about everywhere 2020-2022ish.
